With spring upon us many homeowners are beginning to plan ways for their family and friends to enjoy the warmer weather. Outdoor living is a trend that seems to be becoming more and more popular and it also has a multitude of benefits.

When planning where you want your patio you want to think long term; place it in an area you could expand on years to come. There are many inventive and resourceful ways you can add on later that will create more functionality to your outdoor living space.

Increase your health

How can outdoor living increase your health? Everyone knows the power of fresh air but my guess is you have no idea how truly beneficial it is. Par taking in outdoor activities not only increases your brain activity but is also benefits your physical and emotional health. Sunlight triggers your skin to make Vitamin D which increases serotonin, a mood neurotransmitter-aka it makes you feel happier! There is also a level of fitness involved in an outdoor lifestyle. Whether it be nature walks around your property, or a fun game of volleyball with family and friends. Maybe you are a nature lover, being outside can cause the animals in your area to become more accustomed to you, which may lead to more siting’s.

Plan for the future

When planning your outdoor living area always think in terms of the future, the bigger picture. You may want to add on years to come in order to increase the use of your outdoor living space.

  • Outdoor Kitchens
  • Fire Places
  • Gazebos
  • Pool or Hot Tub

All of these things will only create a more enjoyable place for family, friends and yourself to experience the benefits of an outdoor lifestyle!
