Mark was born and raised in New Paltz, New York, making him a true native to the area. Mark is a graduate of New Paltz High School Class of 1998. He was an active student athlete competing in Football and Wrestling with many honors. He was also active in many clubs and organizations.
He graduated from SUNY Morrisville 2000, receiving a degree in Agriculture, with a concentration in Horticulture Studies. In July of 1999, between semesters, Mark registered Masseo Landscape with the Ulster County Clerk.
In 2003, after several years of expansion he incorporated his company to Masseo Landscape, Inc. Since then Mark has married New Paltz Native Bonne (Kraus) Masseo. They have two children, Kalle 4, and Cole 3. Oddly enough they reside in New Paltz, only a stones throw away from where they both grew-up.

Mark has served for 9 years as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for New Paltz Modified Wrestling Team. He also runs the New Paltz Wrestling Club for the youth league, which he has done for the past 12 years. In addition, Mark and Masseo Landscape Inc. have sponsored many community events and programs. Training
Most recently Mark has attend a workshop series on Storm Water Management sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension. On a yearly basis he attends workshops and conferences on several topics related to products, installation and design in relationship to landscape and hardscape. He believes that the ever changing climate will need to have better practices on how we handle our storm water run off.
